Working from the firm’s Ballarat and Daylesford offices, Ben assists individuals, families and executors to structure effective estate plans and to navigate probate and estate administration with care, sensitivity and attention to detail. He is known for his thoughtful and methodical approach, particularly in matters involving long‑term planning and complex personal circumstances.
Ben advises on both straightforward and complex estate matters, including testamentary trusts, family trusts and self‑managed superannuation funds (SMSFs). He has experience assisting with estate planning for vulnerable beneficiaries, including young children and beneficiaries with disabilities, and takes care to ensure estate plans are both technically sound and responsive to his clients’ needs.
A key aspect of Ben’s practice is working collaboratively with his clients’ accountants, financial advisers and other professional advisers to ensure estate plans are aligned with broader tax planning and asset protection strategies.
Ben is a Juris Doctor graduate and is currently completing his Master of Taxation.
Outside of work, Ben is active in the local community and contributes to governance in the not‑for‑profit and educational sector. He enjoys history, paperback thrillers, music, and spending time with his family.
